Traditional Chawan Tea Bowl and Chasen Whisk Holder Set #4 with 14K Gold Accents

Set including Japanese tea bowl, called a chawan, and a whisk holder, called a chasen, traditionally used for Japanese matcha tea ceremonies. Each piece is glazed with a food-safe jade shino that breaks to leather brown and glaze-trailed with turquoise, brick red, sapphire blue, and show white, which gives the exterior surface an oilspot look with a leathery feel. Each piece in the set has 14K gold accents on the outside. Shaping method for each piece is wheel-thrown from white stoneware clay. 

NOTE: due to the gold accents on the outside, chawan and chasen are not microwave or dishwasher safe. Handwashing only.
