Tall Rustic Vase #7 with Scottish Thistle in Rutile Blue

Tall vase with handpainted purple thistles, the national flower of Scotland. The exterior surface is covered with a rutile blue glaze that at certain temperatures moves slightly to reveal the surface beneath. In this instance, the breakaway showing the dark chocolate clay beneath makes the vase appear ancient, which makes its use perfect to display in a study or "man cave." Handbuilt construction.
