"Talking" Sculpture Platter #1 with Lilies and Birds

Large oval platter with sculpted lilies and red, yellow, and blue tanagers. Slab construction. Birds and flowers were sculpted off the vessel and attached to the platter before firing.  Food safe. Handwashing is recommended. The words on the platter are taken from my book of poetry, published in 1988 by the Robert Frost Agency. It reads:

"A garden is a conversation held in colors and songs. It's a place where the earth reaches upward in silence, and the sky descends in a flutter of wings."
